Independent Project Manager, Programme and Event Producer

Helen is a supporter of creative people and creative industries. Working locally, nationally, internationally and voluntarily she designs, produces and facilitates opportunities, initiatives and spaces in which practitioners, microbusinesses, projects and organisations can realise their full creative and professional potential. Current clients and roles include Make Works as Regions Co-Ordinator, Emergents as a business development programme / workshop facilitator and mentor, facilitator of the Tanween Design Programme for emerging designers based in the UAE at Tashkeel, Dubai, Fife Contemporary as a Board member and Applied Arts Scotland as a voluntary Adviser to the Board.

Setting up us a designer/maker of contemporary furniture and interior products in 1998, Helen's freelance experience has grown to encompass tutoring professional practice and historical modules at degree level, exhibition design, writing reviews, authoring business resources, facilitation, delivering advice sessions, workshops and networking events for the creative and cultural sector.
